Aside from all the exceptional original artwork featured at the upcoming Heritage Auctions (HA.com) Irwin Allen Collection auction on 29th July 2023, the star of the show must surely be "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen Robot" which is a precise replica of the original B-9 Robot. Recreated by Academy-nominated visual effects model builder Greg Jein from studio molds, with lighting, electronics and wiring installed by Ron Hamill, this exciting one-off creation will be the item to watch during the auction. Below is this Robot when it appeared in The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen with Bill Mumy and June Lockhart.
Before the Heritage Irwin Allen Collection auction takes place on 29 July 2023, there is an Azarian Collection Auction featuring 5 pieces of Paul Zastupnevich Lost in Space Costume Art.

Heritage Auctions (HA.com) held an amazing auction of unique and original Lost in Space costumes and props over the weekend of 4-7 November 2021. All the Lost in Space lots were successfully sold on Sunday 7th November. See Lots 89811 to 89840. Two costumes achieved astonishing sale prices of $75,000 each, plus a 25% Buyer's Premium on top of that. These high value items were the Will Robinson's Season 3 Costume Ensemble and the Maureen Robinson's Season 3 Costume Ensemble. Amazingly, some Star Trek costumes didn't sell in the auction for half that price.
Special thanks to Heritage Auctions for allowing us to share the photos of the Lost in Space auction collection with you.

Steven Cateris has told us about a new Australian film called 'Mental.' The Saticons from Lost in Space are in it! One of the characters, Michelle, thinks aliens from outer space are visiting her in her bedroom. The aliens are the Saticons, and they say "We want the mechanical man" (just like in 'Wreck of the Robot.') Toni Collette breaks in to her bedroom and says, "You can't give them the mechanical man because you're not a character from Lost in Space." Later in the film, Michelle says, "Those aliens are from Lost in Space, aren't they?" Toni Collette's character Shaz says, "Great episode! But not as good as the one Dr Smith turns into a tree." The credits acknowledge Space Productions for use of the Saticons from Lost in Space, although the actors are described as playing the Faceless Figures.
Hi to you all in my favorite country. I hope to visit you in the very near future - my biggest joy is studying English history. I even played Lily Langtry the famous English actress, mistress to Edward V11. I feel like when I see the actual places and paintings of the Kings that I would be visiting old friends because I know so much about your country and history - not too much about mine. I am so glad to see that Lost in Space and Irwin Allen are still big in your country. I know that Niolani was my all time favorite role, and Land of the Giants. etc. - what a great film maker he was and what a character. The Actors Reporter interview I just finished covers Irwin and Lost in Space quite a bit. I hope you all get to see it . It is in five parts and about one hour. You can also see my clips from my Marilyn Monroe picture which are on YouTube. Again best to all of you and hoping to see you in person one day!!
Yours always,
NIOLANI

Bob May and Dick Tufeld in 1997
The Voice of the iconic Lost in Space Robot, Dick Tufeld, passed away on Sunday 22nd January 2012. A truly remarkable gentleman has been lost from the worlds of Irwin Allen.
Not only did he provide the voice, and indeed the soul, for the Robot, but also voiceovers for several other Irwin Allen productions including Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and The Time Tunnel. He also lent his voice to the Land of the Giants presentation reel which you can see on both the US and UK DVD releases.
The Robot spoke again in the guise of the cinematic release of Lost in Space in 1998, with a new look, but the voice was exactly the same. Dick also recorded robot voice clips for the benefit of the full scale B-9 Robot replica owners so his voice will continue to live on through the Robot in homes around the globe.
