IRWIN ALLEN NEWS NETWORK
A warm welcome to the Irwin Allen News Network (IANN). Established in 1994 by Giants Log, with the late Paul Zastupnevich as president, IANN has focussed on bringing the wonderful worlds of Irwin Allen to a wider audience. Working with fans, cast and crew around the world, IANN has published dozens of newsletters, specials and web sites to promote the television shows, movies, performers, and the production crew working so hard behind the scenes.
We hope you will enjoy browsing around the site and that you will find new material of interest. We welcome your ideas and input to help us to continue to bring the work of Irwin Allen to new generations.
If you would like to contribute research, personal memories of working on the productions, articles, photos, artwork and other creative ideas, please do contact us. We are continually developing the site whenever we have a spare moment, and the extent to which we can do this depends on everyone who has fond memories of these shows and movies.

Original Land of the Giants Painting Auctions
Two rare one-off items are up for auction on eBay on 4th June 2013. The first is the original painting for the British Land of the Giants novel Mean City and the second is the painting for the novel Slingshot for a David. Bidding ends just after 7pm. Pictures are courtesy of eBay seller mustangtel.

Ray Harryhausen, the master of animation for many famous fantasy adventure movies for over half a century has passed away at the age of 92. In the worlds of Irwin Allen, Ray is best known for his animation creations for The Animal World.

Beelibones and the Lost Treasure
Bill Hedges has built this marvellous Beelibones replica head (Lost in Space episode Treasure of the Lost Planet) based on a plaster head purchased from a talented artist, Pierre Veilleux. Artist Rita Lane painted the face on the outside of the box. This Beelibones replica prop is featured in the very funny Youtube video shown above. Gallery to follow shortly.

JOHN WILLIAMS AT LINCOLN PARTY
Deanna Lund recently met up with composer John Williams at a party for the new movie Lincoln for which John has composed the music. Nearly half a century ago, John Williams composed themes for several Irwin Allen productions including Land of the Giants. Deanna and Carol have kindly sent this beautiful photograph for us to share with you.

GERMAN TIME TUNNEL COMPETITION
Studio Hamburg Enterprises GmbH have kindly donated some copies of the ARD voice synchro version of The Time Tunnel for the latest IANN competition. The competition has now ended and winners have been notified.

ERNEST BORGNINE 1917-2012
Ernest Borgnine, star of The Poseidon Adventure, Fire, When Time Ran Out, and Alice in Wonderland has passed away aged 95. Up until very recently he had been attending signing events with other members of The Poseidon Adventure cast and will be much missed by Irwin Allen and movie fandom.
JETPACK OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY
As the Olympic flame travels around the whole of the United Kingdom, it stops by Leicester and is taken for a Lost in Space style jetpack ride. The Olympic opening ceremony on Friday 27th July 2012 also featured 3 jetpack stunts.

The cast of The Poseidon Adventure (Ernest Borgnine, Stella Stevens, Carol Lynley, Eric Shea, and Pamela Sue Martin) joined the Land of the Giants cast at the Hollywood Show Vegas on Saturday 19 November 2011. Also attending were Land of the Giants guest stars Celeste Yarnall (The Golden Cage) and Bruce Dern (Wild Journey), plus Voyage Movie star Barbara Eden, Mike Lookinland (The Towering Inferno), Lawrence Montaigne (guest in The Time Tunnel), Felix Silla (stuntman on The Towering Inferno), Barbara Luna (Five Weeks in a Balloon), and Vitina Marcus (The Lost World and Lost in Space).

HELP NEEDED WITH RESEARCH
The main focus of our efforts at the Irwin Allen News Network is to document the history of all of the Irwin Allen movies and television shows and this implies extensive levels of research. We are particularly trying to credit actors and crew who didn't receive on-screen credits in the productions.
We are also studying the movies, trying to identify as many people as possible who appeared on screen and this is proving to be a never-ending challenge. We have recently added a gallery of faces from The Poseidon Adventure and The Time Travelers amongst others and have several faces we cannot yet identify. If you can help with any of these missing names with corroborating pictures of the unnamed actors, please contact us.

LAND OF THE GIANTS COMMENTARY
On Friday 8th April 2011, the cast of Land of the Giants gathered together in LA to create a very special treat exclusively for the UK Second Season DVD release which is due out in June. Stefan Arngrim, Don Marshall, Deanna Lund, Gary Conway, Heather Young and Don Matheson have recorded a really outstanding audio commentary which will appear on the second season DVD extras. This unique event showcases the delightful camaraderie between the cast members and is something we are very keen to extend to a convention in the UK.
